Masters battle it out in a Top16 tourney
It was action galore at Conti dusty ground in Evaton when the masters soccer teams battled it out in the last sixteen of the Bunny Sports Foundation Tournament over the past weekend.

EVATON.- Action was packed with the first game starting at 10:00 and the last kicking off at 16:00. Former Orlando Pirates darling, Steve ‘Chippa’ Lekoelea was among the notable ex-professional in the colours of Qwebezela Masters. Despite the chilly weather, as always, the locals came out in numbers to spend the day watching these former soccer players in action. However, there were disappointing scenes when when the Qwebezela Masters FC goalkeeper lost his temper and ran to the referee and pushed him after the referee ordered Marikana Masters to retake a penalty against him.

Sedibeng Ster Sports has been told that Qwebezela Masters will appear before the tournaments’ disciplinary hearing committee to face the music for the action. Sedibeng Ster Sport will follow this closely to see what action will be taken against Qwebezela Masters after this incident.

This weekend the teams will battle it out in the last eight of the tournament at the same venue.
