Local female administrator appointed for WAFCON
Local female football Administrator, Potso Mohami, has once again has been appointed for 2022 TotalEnergies Women African Cup Of Nation (WAFCON) Tournament as General Coordinator.

SEDIBENG.- The tournament is scheduled to take place in Morocco from 2-23 July.
Mohami has proved to be one of the best female administrators who is eager to make a name for herself in South African football. Her appointment in this tournament didn’t came as a surprise taking into consideration that it is not the first time she will be performing this CAF appointed duty. In 2021 she was appointed to the CAF Women’s Champions League when Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were crowned the Queens of African women football. Mohami was among the general coordinators who were responsible for the daily running of that tournament.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport from Casablanca in Morocco, Mohami said even though it will be not the first time she is appointed as one of the CAF general coordinators, she is grateful for this opportunity. She believes that this will help her to grow as an up and coming female football administrator.

Not only Mohami will be representing South Africa at this women’s continental tournament, Banyana Banyana will also be there to hoist the South African flag high.
“I really am grateful for this opportunity even though it is not the first time. I have been there before and I’m looking forward again to learn more about African women’s football. I’m looking forward to learn from other experienced men and women administrators in the African continent.,” she told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
This Bophelong born football administrator started to work at SAFA as an intern and was employed full time because of her potential. She comes from a family that is passionate about football with her later father being involved with the now defunct Early Birds FC.
