Three Sebokeng women drugged, raped for four days in taxi ordeal

The police in the Family violence, Child protection and Sexual offences (FCS) unit have launched an investigation after three women were raped and drugged for four consecutive days by different men.

VEREENIGING. – The incident happened on January 11th. According to police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda, one of the victims reported that she and two other females were waiting for a taxi to Sebokeng at the MTN taxi rank in Johannesburg when they were offered a lift by four African males in a white Quantum taxi.

“According to the victim, the taxi then then took an unusual route to Sebokeng until it arrived at a house with high walls. On arrival, the victims were injected with a substance that made them unconscious and were raped for four days by different men.

“On Friday January 14th, the women were dropped off in Vereeniging in a red VW sedan and they reported the matter to the police.”

Funda states that three of the suspects were speaking a foreign language with a Nigerian accent.

“One suspect has a cross on the face, the second suspect has half blond dreadlocks while the third suspect has a cut over the right eye and a Raf 3 tattoo on the left leg.

“The fourth suspect was described as muscular and could be heard speaking Sesotho fluently.”
