Four teens killed in Vanderbijlpark accident

The police in Vanderbijlpark have launched a culpable homicide investigation following the deaths of four teenagers, three males and a female who were hit by a car on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred on Barrage road and Westinghouse at about 00:30.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale reports that the police were called to the scene and on arrival found that two teens had succumbed to their injuries.

“One of the patients died on the way to hospital while the other one died  in hospital.”

Makhale states that two of the families have been informed about the incident while two others are still going to be informed.

” The Vanderbijlpark SAPS would like to send their deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Police have launched a culpable homicide case docket and investigations are ongoing.”
