GAUTENG.- TOUCHLINE wants to pay a homage to Dr Oliphant while he is still alive because the greatest mistake we make as a football nation we wait for people to die and then name places after them.
TOUCHLINE is of the opinion that we must build a stadium and name it after him in honour of his contribution in the development of our football. For example, he was SAFA President when this country hosted a success 2010 FIFA World Cup. Dr Oliphant was and still is a par excellence football administrator to have come from this region. Growing up both in football and newsroom I have being following Dr Oliphant as a football administrator and academic. Apart from football Dr Oliphant was firm teacher, principal and Director Of Education. This shows how much he is armed with knowledge when it comes to football, and academically.
He is still much involved in football especially back here at home where is heading the the South African Masters and Legends Football Association (SAMLFA) as Chairperson of the Interim Committee.
Apart from his involvement in this region, he is the Also SAFA Lifetime President. Truth be told, as the region and country it will be difficult to find a football administrator like Dr Oliphant, not even in the near future. With the current state of our football in this country Dr Oliphant’s eexperience is needed. It is not a secret the South African Football is bleeding. TOUCHLINE challenges all those who are involved in the development of our football to rise and demand the full participation of Dr Oliphant in an advisory role especially Safa Sedibeng region.
As things stand now, this region is in crisis, it is bleeding!
People like Ntate Oliphant must be acknowledged and appreciated while they arestill alive. This is TOUCHLINE’s tribute to Ntate Oliphant while he is still alive.
Ntate Oliphant, I thank you for your contribution in the development of Football in Vaal.
