SEDIBENG.- Boipatong FC leaves no stone unturned in preparation for their upcoming ABC Motsepe League 2026/27 campaign.

This club took their preparation to another level when they played a pre-season friendly against the CAF champions Mamelodi Sundowns at Cloorkop on August 26.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the club’s chairperson, Gab Maloka, said his boys will cherish this experience for the rest of their football careers, as Sundowns is regarded as the best football team on the African continent.

Maloka said not everyone is lucky enough to play against Sundowns.

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that playing against Sundowns will motivate the youngsters as they make their debut in the ABC Motsepe League.

Some of the big stars that Boipatong FC youngsters played against include Mothobi Mvala, Denis Onyango, Reyaad Pieterse, Gomolemo Kekana, Siyabonga Mabena and Miguel Reisinho, to mention but a few.

These players were not part of the Sundowns team that beat AmaZulu 5-2 in the midweek Betway Premiership match.

Boipatong FC and Ben 10 FC are newcomers to the ABC Motsepe League after finishing first and second respectively in the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League last season.

“We are ready for the season to start and I’m happy with how our preparations are going so far. I do not doubt that our coaches and players will take this experience into our league matches. It was a great experience for everyone to be there at Cloorkop rubbing shoulders with the best players in the world,” concluded Maloka.
