K9 Unit fatally wounds a suspect

A suspect, returning fire to the Unit, was fatality wounded in a shootout recently.

SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng Flying Squad Police Spokesperson, Warrent Officer Martin Seaman said that the members of Sedibeng K9 Unit received a complaint of a hijacked White Hyundai Creta that was not in order.

Through the assistance of tracking company they managed to locate the whereabouts of the vehicle and left their state vehicle on the N1 Grasmere route, and went on foot into the rocky mountainous area. It is said that while approaching the vehicle the suspect started to shoot.

“The members returned fire fatally wounding the suspect who was in possession a GLOCK 9MM pistol with 11 live rounds. Later a firearm was found to be reported stolen at Kimberly.”
