With the Emfuleni Local Football Association’s Super League 2022/2023 season set to kick off next month, Super League teams were involved in pre-season games all over Sedibeng over the weekened.

SEDIBENG.-  These pre-season friendly matches and tournaments are in preparation for the new season. It was action galore at Shakespeare Stadium in Vanderbijlpark for the past two weekends with some Super League and SAB League teams battling it out throughout the day in preparation for the upcoming season. Town Stars FC, Italian Two Touch FC, Nale Academy, Tshepiso Barcelona FC, Ghetto Seven FC were among teams that have been involved in pre-season games.

With the SAB League marred by controversy, it is not clear when the Safa Sedibeng Regional Play-offs will take place. The Regional Play-offs were supposed to take place at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark over the weekend but Sedibeng Ster Sport was told the Play-offs would no longer take place due to the outcome of the Arbitration.

To make it worse, as things stand, it is not even clear how many teams will be relegated and promoted to Safa Sedibeng SAB League. Sedibeng Ster Sport has learned that NWU Vaal FC and Vaal Professional have been relegated from ABC Motsepe League. This means, this region won’t be represented in the ABC Motsepe League in the coming season.

Meanwhile, teams have been urged to affiliate with the hope of the league kick starting in the first week of September.
