VEREENIGING. – This follows the murder of 65-year-old Selinah Busisiwe Mota who was found dead at her home in Unitas Park last week.

Police Spokesperson Captain Teboho Lephoto reported that members of the SAPS were summoned to the scene on Tuesday evening around 20:00.

Police arrived on the scene and found the lifeless body of a 65-year-old elderly woman lying in the kitchen facing upwards.

Paramedics were called to the scene and declared the woman dead.

Lephoto said the motive for the murder was unknown.

Funda says, “The suspect has made an appearance at the Vereeniging Magistrate Court. Investigations are ongoing.”
