SEDIBENG.- Much has been said and written about that Tottenham HotSpurs deal, our tax money nogal!
This is an insult, especially to the development coaches as some of them don’t even work. This has nothing to do with money or tourism but to do with someone’s personal gain, to say the least. TOUCHLINE is sick and tired of these European teams that come to our country and fake partnerships with our clubs but they offer nothing financially. They come and take pictures and go back to their country and claim that they have adopted South African teams from the poor community. This is a daylight robbery and if we allow this to happen then we must just close this country and forget.
Poor community my voet!
I hear people talk about how Tottenham is going to market our tourism but we forget to mention when was the last time the same team won the English Premier Soccer League.
How so?
Football is an easy target for people to use for their personal gain like this Tottenham-Spurs deal.
Sick!
For how long will our football be taken for granted? So now the politicians see loopholes in football. They are selling our football to the highest bidder, to say the least. This is an interesting time to live in with politicians gambling with our beautiful game. Imagine making Tottenham market our country’s tourism instead of them bringing millions into this country for the development of our football.
It means we take money to money!
It is safe for TOUCHLINE to say this, football people especially from the poorest of the poor communities, are not protected. Some of football development administrators and coaches die poor because of their passion for this beautiful sport of football.
Lindiwe Sisulu and co must not sell our football to the highest bidders for their personal gain. To make it worse, SAFA’s silence is too loud on this matter unless there is an exchange of money under the table.
