SEBOKENG – The campaign saw all structures of the EFF and public representatives engaging in a massive clean-up due to service delivery failures of the government.
The clean-up formed part of the EFFs campaign trail ahead of the 2024 Local government elections.

Commander in Chief Julius Malema was flanked by different organizations’ leadership including Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, administrators, and members of his party.
EFF linked the campaign with the name Andries Tatane because Tatatane is a young citizen that was killed during a service delivery protest in 2011 over water.
Every Saturday, EFF members will be going out to clean illegal dumping sites in the area as a way to campaign for votes.

Addressing scores of community members and party members who came out in their numbers, Malema said they are taking matters of service delivery into their own hands.
“We must start cleaning after ourselves. If you love yourself, you will not love the ANC government because you know it’s a dirty government. You start by loving and want a government that loves you,” he said.

“These people we need to teach them today and going forward that we black people love ourselves, we are failed by the government. And that love we are going to demonstrate every Saturday. We want to thank the Andries Tatane family for allowing us for using their child’s name, we don’t want this name to die,” he added.
Malema further said the name must live forever because it haunts the ANC.
“Every time you say the name Andries Tatane, it pains the ANC because they killed an innocent child who did not ask for anything complicated, he asked for water,” he said.
