SEBOKENG. – Some areas in Sebokeng are without electricity following yet another incident of theft and vandalism at Seboka substation.

Eskom says the incident has affected supply to Sebokeng Zone 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11. 12, 13 and Small Farms.

This is not the first time that the substation has been vandalised, leaving residents frustrated for days.
In 2022, Eskom shutdown the substation following a similar incident.

The power utility says, “ETR is not available at this stage.”
Eskom has since urged residents to report vandalism and theft of its infrastructure.

“Vandalism takes your power away. Join the fight against electricity theft and vandalism.
Stop the criminals from breaking Eskom property,” Eskom said.
Residents are urged to report by calling 0800 112 722 or the SAPS onĀ 1011.
