SEDIBENG.- Banyana Banyana Captain, Refiloe Jane has been nominated as the Gauteng Sports Star of the Year Finalist.

Jane has been nominated along with some high-profile athletes such as Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane, Tatjana Schoenmaker, Ayabonga Khaka, and Kagiso Radebe.

Jane was a pillar of strength for Banyana Banyana when they were crowned the African Women’s Cup Of Nations champions. This former VUT student is among the Banyana Banyana players who ply their trade overseas, in the books of Serie A side Sassuolo. She joined the club following her departure from AC Milan.

The Gauteng Sports Awards are meant to celebrate sporting excellence for their outstanding performance and contribution to the sports industry.
