Boxing is back in the Vaal

This is a psychological boost for me going into this Saturday's fight and I know nothing about my opponent.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Boxing will be back in Sedibeng when Bongani “Dancing Rasta” Mahlangu will be trading gloves against Mduduzi Mzimela from KZN.

This much-anticipated fight is scheduled to take place at Portuguese Hall next to Fruit and Vegie in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday evening. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport, by Mahlangu who is looking forward to fighting in front of his home supporters.

When asked if he knows his opponent, Mahlangu said he doesn’t know him as it will be the first time the two meet. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that his opponent is still young and they don’t know each other well.

“It is going to be such a great feeling to fight in front of my home supporters and this is like a home advantage for me. Look, I have been fighting away from home but for a change, I will be fighting in front of my own people. In fact, it will be the first time we fight and we don’t know each other for that matter. I must say I’m super fit and I’m looking forward. My coach Sandile Mahlangu was pushing me very hard and I’m ready for the fight,” said Mahlangu adding that what he knows about Mzimela is that, he is still young and obviously eager to make name for himself.

He said he is not going to undermine Mzimela because this will be a grave mistake.
