
VEREENIGING. – Sicelo Primary School Staff bid farewell to teacher and colleague Nonceba November (65) in style, showing her how loved and appreciated she was for her hard work and dedication. The surprise farewell function was held at the Riviera on Vaal Resort recently.
November has been working at the school for 10 years and has been teaching for 42 years. November, who was teaching the Foundation Phase at Sicelo has been described as someone who loves kids and has a passion for education.
Speaking during the function, the school’s Institutional Development and Support Officer (IDSO) Moeketsi Molelekoa said: “Thank you for serving our department for 42 solid years and teaching our young boys and girls. You looked after the best interests and welfare of the child. We are learning from you. We really want to wish you well on your journey.”
School Principal Patricia Nkabinde thanked November for the contribution she made at the school during the years.
Speaking to Ster North, November said she was taken by surprise as she didn’t expect her colleagues to do something so big for her.
“I have mixed emotions, I would like to thank my fellow colleagues, pupils and the Sicelo community at large. This has truly been a journey that I enjoyed as it was my calling.”
November urged teachers to practice patience and love the kids as the foundation they set would carry kids throughout their school years.
