Man sentenced to eight years for murder

EVATON.- An Evaton man was recently sentenced to eight years for killing a man.

It is said that in February 2019 at about 04:10 the deceased was at the tavern in Evaton West Ext11 together with the accused when they started arguing, the accused then took out the knife and stabbed the deceased, the suspect was then arrested.

Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi said that the accused appeared in the Sebokeng magistrate court in March 2023, for sentencing after he was found guilty.

“The docket was allocated to a well-experienced Sergeant Phaahla who managed to gather the information needed before the court. The accused was sentenced to eight years in prison for murder.”
