VANDERBIJLPARK – Masedi Mokgotho, continues to set the bar higher in the Vaal music scenes with his latest release.
On Friday, September 15, MasediZA unveiled a full-length music video for his track ‘Wrong Things,’ and fans are in for a visual treat like never before.
Collaborating with the incredibly talented Tshegofatso Mahlong of Top Level Films, the dynamic duo has spared no effort in delivering a visual masterpiece that perfectly complements the music.
Fans and music enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated this release, and MasediZA did not disappoint.
Known for his consistency in churning out high-quality visuals that enhance the overall music experience, MasediZA’s ‘Wrong Things’ music video is expected to elevate his status in the industry even further.
In an exclusive interview with Sedibeng Ster, MasediZA opened up about his creative journey and the inspiration behind ‘Wrong Things.
“I’m starting a new label called ‘Sothoboysworldwide’ and I featured my new artist who goes by the name of Stella Dikhenzo. Originally from Bophelong, we created a sound called ‘Trap ya Milano’,” he said.
“The video is shot and directed by one and only visual director ‘Tshegofatso Mahlong’, and there are more videos we dropping this summer. So be on the lookout for that. We only started working and shooting visuals last year and we’ve been dropping them one by one to test and to see the response of the visual market since I’m new to this,” he said.
Masedi is also on a drive to sell music on a flash drive, he explained why.
“People can look up to more music videos coming soon of my album that just drop on hard copy USB only. The aim is to sell 500 copies before I drop the album on digital platforms. As soon as we reached the target, we dripping the album,” he added.
The enthusiastic trap singer said the album is targeted at every household in Italy (Vaal) to Sotho-speaking people around the country who will understand the direction of the sound.
“I’m working on shooting more videos for other songs of my album with Top Level films. I recorded over 60 unreleased songs through the course of this period from lockdown till now, also expect a joint mixtape with Genaro which is undergoing mixing and mastering at the moment with my producer ‘Flokey’. So my team has been hard at work, it’s only now that we are releasing the material that we worked on,” he said.
