Conti Masters donates school shoes

"We decided to identify the disadvantaged kids in our community through the recommendation of our members of our community."

EVATON.- Continental Masters FC in conjunction with Barney Sports Foundation donated 21 school shoes to the needy children in the community.

This initiative took place at Continental soccer ground in Evaton on Sunday with both representatives handing over the brand new school shoes to the children who were accompanied by their parents. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, on behalf of both Continental FC and Barney Sports Foundation, Mphikeleli Nhlapo said the initiative is part of ploughing back to the community.

Nhlapo said this time around they decided to donate school shoes directly to the disadvantaged kids in the community. In the previous project, the two organisations would identify the schools to donate school shoes to them.

“We decided to identify the disadvantaged kids in our community through the recommendation of our members of our community. This initiative helps the poor kids in our community because we see them every day when they go to school in the morning or come back from school. As Continental FC we want to thank Barney Sports Foundation for always serving the interest of those who are in need in our community. It was a great success and we continue to make a difference in our community.

Former soccer great who is also the founder of Continental FC, Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka was among the representatives who attended this handover.
