ORANGE FARM. – The Gauteng Department of Community Safety condemns the killing of law enforcement officials. This follows the brutal murder of 35-year-old Crime Prevention Warden (CPW), Jabulani Gininda assigned to the Orange Farm Police Station.
Gininda was gunned down in Orange Farm, on Friday 13 October while he was still on duty. The incident occurred after Gininda dropped off his colleagues whom he was transporting from a training college.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Gauteng Department of Community Safety spokesperson Ofentse Morwane said: “It is with great sadness that the Gauteng Department of Community Safety announces the passing of Mr Gininda who served as a Crime Prevention Warden within the Department. The incident resulted in his untimely passing.
“The brutal killing of Mr Gininda is very tragic. The killing of law enforcement officers will not be tolerated as this undermines the work and presence of law enforcement officers within our communities,” said Morwane.
Morwane stated that police are working tirelessly to ensure that those responsible face the full might of the law.
“We continue to urge citizens to work with the Crime Prevention Wardens as they have been deployed within communities to augment the work of law enforcement.”
The Department conveyed its condolences to the friends, family, and colleagues of the deceased: “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones and the entire community of Orange Farm.”
Police are investigating a murder case docket and one suspect has been arrested.
