Primary and Secondary schools in Spelling Bee and Word Raffle Competition

This Spelling Bee and Word Raffle competition was for both the primary and secondary schools.

SEBOKENG.- Spelling words were the order of the day when the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation hosted the Spelling Bee and Word Raffle competition at Arcelor Mittal Science Centre in Sebokeng on Thursday.

This Spelling Bee and Word Raffle competition was for both the primary and secondary schools with both Sedibeng East District and Sedibeng West District schools competing against each other. All the participants were presented with medals with the winners, first, second, and third positions receiving trophies.

In the primary school section, most of the learners who were participating in this competition were girls including those who won the competition. However, in the secondary section, it was balanced with boys coming in first positions.

Despite being nervous, the primary school learners did exceptionally well regardless of the intimidating environment, standing in front of their fellow learners.
