GPG’s security symposium underway in Sebokeng

The objective of the initiative is to form partnerships with the private sector to find innovative solutions to eliminate crime, corruption, Vandalism, and lawlessness.

SEBOKENG. – In a plight to strengthen the fight against crime in Townships, Informal Settlements, and Hostels (TISH) areas, Gauteng Provincial Government will on Tuesday, October 14, be hosting a Security symposium at the Saul Tsotetsi Recreation Centre in Zone 14.

The symposium will provide an opportunity for the provincial government to engage with private security companies to find ways they can get into partnerships that will help in alleviating crime.

According to GPG, the objective of the initiative is to form partnerships with the private sector to find innovative solutions to eliminate crime, corruption, Vandalism, and lawlessness.

“Security companies play an important role in safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens by providing armed and emergency response.

“Their work is closely linked to law enforcement agencies as they ensure public safety, surveillance, and visibility.”
