NEWS JUST IN: Six dead in Lakeside taxi shooting

At least six people have been killed, five injured and three suspects arrested during the Lakeside Taxi shooting that happened today.

LAKESIDE – Six people were shot and killed in Lakeside Estate during a taxi violence related shooting on Wednesday morning, November 22.

The brazen incident occurred at the makeshift taxi rank in Temalebone where alleged taxi squad personnel were camping.

Riddled with bullet holes, five bodies lie on the ground as forensic pathologists investigate the scene.

Dozens of bystanders look on as the kasi remains barricaded and cones covered bullet shells.

In a separate incident about a meter away, three suspects remain placed on the ground after being apprehended by different law enforcement agencies comprising SAPS, Crime Prevent Wardens, and Gauteng Provincial Traffic.

The Ster team traced a third scene including one in Orange Farm where a taxi was riddled with bullet holes leaving one passenger killed.

Police are at the scene in all three scenes and dozens of bystanders watch as helicopters and scores of police vehicles roam the area.
