The family of Lydiah Moatshe (64) is asking members of the community to assist in locating her, after she went missing on July 11.
Moatshe is said to have left her home in Tlhabane Bester (Rustenburg) around 8:42 using an e-hailing service, heading to town to catch a taxi to Meyerton.
According to her children, her mobile phone activity became irregular and then ceased entirely.

“We, her family and authorities, are urgently seeking information, as her phone’s last signals came from a completely unexpected location far from her intended route.”
The family fears that Lydia never arrived at her intended destination. Lydiah Moatshe is a black female, approximately 157cm tall, with brown eyes and short black hair.
She was possibly wearing a brown wig at the time of her disappearance. Describing her, the family says she is of a medium build and has a friendly, unassuming demeanour. When she disappeared, she was wearing a black shirt and black pants.
“We are extremely worried about her safety and well-being. We are pleading with the public to help locate her.”
Anyone with information regarding Moatshe’s whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance is urged to contact Lebo on 071 931 1106, Boitumelo on 064 991 6094, and Tshego Moatshe on 067 041 5496.
Alternatively, you can reach out to the nearest police station or the missing persons unit organisations with any tips.
The family emphasises that every small detail is crucial in solving the case of the missing women.
“Time is of the essence, and public cooperation is crucial. Lydiah has now been missing for several days with no contact. Her loved ones are desperately hoping for her safe return. Any person who thinks they might have seen her or knows something is urged to step forward.”
