VANDERBIJLPARK – Vanderbijlpark Police continue to fly its flag high as they received numerous awards at the recent Sedibeng SAPS Excellence Awards.
According to the station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, their precinct scooped most of the awards at Balmoral Gardens, where the district’s prestigious awards were held.
“Our station received the following awards: CPF of the year, Vispol of the year, first runner of station of the year, best admin group of the year, and first runner of admin employee of the year,” he said.
On October 6, station management, the executive of CPF, councillors from Emfuleni municipality, patrollers, and other important stakeholders were engaged in a meeting where crime overview and other pressing matters were discussed.
“Before the commencement of the meeting, the station commander of Vanderbijlpark Brigadier Phiwe Ndwandwe, applauded the members who received the awards, including the CPF executive,” said Sigcu.
Ndwandwe outlined the importance of working as a team, as it gives fruitful results.
“I would like to thank everyone in the room and those who garnered awards on behalf of the station. To various stakeholders, thank you for your commitment,” he said.
Ndwandwe further added that police members cannot fight crime alone without the help of every relevant stakeholder. “I want to thank you for your contribution.”
