ZAMDELA – The police in Zamdela would like to inform the public that the family of Thuso Samuel Kulo (46) has been located and the deceased has been positively identified.
This follows a public appeal by Zamdela detectives requesting assistance from the community in locating the deceased’s relatives.
According to Fezile Dabi District Police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani, on August 10, 2025, at about 02:30, police officers were conducting patrols around the Harry Gwala area when they noticed an unknown male lying next to the fence of the multi-purpose Centre.
Upon closer inspection, officers discovered that the man had sustained a stab wound to the neck. Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene, where the man was declared dead.
“At the time he was found, the deceased was wearing a blue overall, a black coat, and blue and yellow shoes. As the identity of the deceased was unknown at the time, police issued a public appeal requesting assistance in tracing his family,” Rani said.
She confirmed that the family members came forward, and the deceased was positively identified as Thuso Samuel Kulo.
“It was further established that the deceased was originally from QwaQwa.”
“Police would like to thank members of the public and the media for assisting in sharing the information that helped lead to the identification of the deceased,” said Rani.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death continues. Rani appealed to anyone who may have information on Kulo’s murder to contact Tshidiso Sepheka on 073 7377 207 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
