Local cyclists excel at Gauteng Road Champs

Three local cyclists from the Vaal achieved podium positions in the Road Race at the Gauteng Championships held at the Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind on Sunday (22 January 2023).

KRUGERSDORP. – Massimo Guglielmi (39), chairman of the Vaal Triangle Cycling Club who rides for Team NESSA Africa, finished in third place in the race for men (40-44), while Sjoerd Douwenga (66), a member of Vaal Triangle Cycling Club, finished in second place in the race for men (65-69).

Shane Brown (59), also a member of Vaal Triangle Cycling Club, finished in third place in the race for men (60-64).
