Expecting parents benefit by Mediclinic Vereeniging’s antenatal classes
"Antenatal classes are not only for the pregnant mom, but for the dad too. It is important that partners understand their role on how to effectively support their spouses during this journey."
Pregnancy Awareness Week is observed every February in aims to strengthen pregnancy education to promote a healthy pregnancy and safe parenthood.

“No two pregnancies are alike, and this is why Mediclinic Vereeniging puts together comprehensive antenatal classes every month where healthcare experts can answer all questions relevant to diet, pre and post pregnancy mobilisation, comorbities and emergency signs during pregnancy,” says Mrs Nolene Colombo, Nursing Manager at Mediclinic Vereeniging.
“Antenatal classes are not only for the pregnant mom, but for the dad too. It is important that partners understand their role on how to effectively support their spouses during this journey. Paternal involvement has been recognised to have a noticeably positive impact on pregnancy and infant outcomes,” says Mrs Colombo.
* During the Preganancy Awareness celebrations in February, these informative classes were presented at the classy Three Rivers Lodge in 52 Golf Street, Three Rivers, Vereeniging.
