Curro Savanna City’s very first matric group will be writing their senior certificate exams later this year.
SAVANNA CITY. – Midvaal Local Municipality’s MMC for corporate services, Chantal Gomes, along with the speaker, Alan McLoughlin, visited the group of 54 learners on Wednesday 22 February 2023 to wish them well and motivate them for the challenging year ahead.
Addressing learners, McLoughlin, described matric as a door to the world and told learners can do anything with their lives.
“There is a whole world out there and that world is your oyster,” McLoughlin said, urging learners to put in the hard work and focus on their studies during the upcoming year.
During her speech, Gomes told matriculants that they would have to cut down on social events and focus on their studies during their matric year.

She said that motivation was going to play an important role and urged matriculants to stay motivated.
Gomes lastly said that the correct diet is very important and urged learners to eat healthily and stay away from junk food, as a healthy diet is key to a healthy mind.
