Don’t Do Crime Tournament a great success

For their effort, COVID-19 FC received R30 000 while the runner-ups, 18 USB FC, went home with R10 000.

SEBOKENG.- COVID-19 FC were crowned the ‘Don’t Do Crime’ Tournament Champions after they beat 18 USB FC 1-0 in the final played at Bright Stars ground in Zone 7, Sebokeng recently.

Themba “Toto” Zwelibanzi, who is one of the tournament organizers hailed the tournament as a success. The day started with a “Let’s Walk Against Crime” which started at Masenkeng to the soccer ground. This final was attended by community leaders including political leaders with Ward 73 Councilor, Hassan Makola leading the proceeding.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Zwelibanzi said he was overwhelmed by the support from the community especially community leaders who made this tournament a success.

“I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the tournament especially our leaders under the leadership of Councilor Makola who has been with us since this tournament started.

He has been supportive not only for this tournament but other community initiatives and we want to thank him for his commitment,” said Zwelibanzi.
