Investors in danger of losing millions

Thousands of investors got caught up in a land Gold Rush on the Klopperskraal Farm near Sebokeng Unit 12 since 2021 - but were not told that zoning for commercial and residential use had not yet been granted by the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM).

Investors are in danger of losing millions – reportedly far more than R70 million – on a land which has seen thousands buying residential and business stands, zoned only for agricultural use on Klopperskraal Farm near Sebokeng in Emfuleni.

Official documentation in Vaalweekblad possession confirm that Klopperskraal is still zoned for agricultural use only and with no indication on when ELM intends holding the obligatory Tribunal on the matter.

ELM was approached for comment on the matter over the weekend but had not responded by publication.

Klopperskraal Farm is owned by Neospace which is run by Prince Sibusiso Ntsele, who declined to comment when approached by Vaalweekblad. The scheme was intensively marketed on Thetha Radio Station.

The scheme was brought to a halt last year when interested and affected parties, including commercial farmers, lodged a complaint with the Gauteng Provincial Government on an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) done by Neospace, documents show.

It was then suspended but a final adjudication on the EIA complaint is awaited shortly, official documents in possession of Vaalweekblad indicate.

Investors who contacted Vaalweekblad said Neospace had informed them that the land was in fact correctly zoned and their investment was thus safe.

Many stands were sold on Klopperskraal Farm for amounts from R5 000 up to R15 000 each.

Aerial drone footage in Vaalweekblad possession show intensive development work has taken place on Klopperskraal Farm already, with trenches dug for services without municipal permission or involvement.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
