SHARPEVILLE.- Sedibeng jazz lovers went home with their souls in peace after being spoiled with great jazz music at a festival hosted by Vaal Echoes Of Love in conjunction with Sedibeng Jazz Foundation in Sharpeville Sunday.

This jazz festival was held for charity purposes to raise funds for this non-profit organization.

This was the second annual jazz festival to be hosted by Vaal Echoes Of Love in partnership with Sedibeng Jazz Foundation, MooiVaal Media, and Theta FM as media partners. Vaal Echoes Of Love’s Lindiwe Mokoena hailed this event as a great success thanks to all the Sedibeng people for coming in numbers to support this initiative. Mokoena said she was overwhelmed by the attendance and was convinced everyone went home satisfied.

“We really want to thank everyone who came to support this initiative and we as Vaal Echoes Of Love are grateful. We also want to thank the Sedibeng Jazz Foundation and the media for making this event a great success. Those jazz bands and individual artists blew everyone’s mind with good music throughout the day until the evening. The elderly people really had fun, dancing in jubilation and this was the whole purpose of entertaining them,” said Mokoena.

Some of the band groups that performed on the day include MC-Jays and the Afro Jabba Band. Sedibeng Jazz Foundation members were awarded with certificates and the fallen jazz legend Gift Makume was also honoured. MooiVaal Media also received a Certificate Of Appreciation from Vaal Echoes Of Love for the role Sedibeng Ster played in marketing this event.

Sedibeng Jazz Foundation’s Publicist, Happy Nape, said they want to see this jazz charity festival grow every year. He challenges business people and companies to come on board to help improve the lives of the community by supporting Vaal Echoes Of Love.
