Breaking News: ELM Mayor held hostage

The Mayor resides in Tshepong where the residents are raising several issues relating to service delivery.

SEBOKENG. The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor, Sipho Radebe is currently held hostage in Tshepong, Sebokeng.

Radebe resides in Tshepong where the residents are raising several issues relating to service delivery in the ward. The specific encounter this morning was about the Tshepong entrance which is blockaded by water as a result of heavy rains. Community members and taxis operators  demanded that Radebe employ immediate means of how the entrance blockage can be resolved before he leaves.

Radebe is still on site with the members of the community and a team of engineers waiting for tipper trucks and other needed construction vehicles so that the unblocking can start.
