VANDERBIJLPARK.- Tragedy struck a Vanderbijlpark school community. A male educator was allegedly found lying down next to his car on Thursday morning, April 18.

“It is alleged that the educator reported to work on Thursday morning and passed by the principal’s office to greet him. However, as the staff morning meeting was about to commence, he was not there. The school’s administrator allegedly found the educator laying down next to his car, ” the Gauteng education department said.

“Emergency services were contacted for assistance. Unfortunately, the educator was declared dead upon arrival,” department spokesperson Steve Mabona said.

Mabona said the provincial psycho-social support unit was dispatched to the school for trauma counselling and support.
