‘Speeding’ Quantum kills boy

“It is said that it further drove onto a gate and a fence where it was stopped by a wall."

SEBOKENG. – A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by the Sebokeng police after a Toyota Quantum allegedly drove into a boy and killed him in Zone 11, Sebokeng last Thursday.

According to police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, it is alleged that the children were playing on the street when a Toyota Quantum was seen driven at a high speed from a nearby house, and drove straight into the young boy.

“It is said that it further drove onto a gate and a fence where it was stopped by a wall. The community members acted bravely to retrieve the lifeless body of a 10-year-old boy under the Quantum and he was declared dead by EMS,” Mokhachane said.

She urged the community members to monitor their children while playing on the streets.
