Pensioner feels content after making mark

"I'm done, and now I'm going to sleep peacefully knowing that I voted."

SEDIBENG.- Pensioner, Mapule Jijane (85) was among the elderly people who braved the chill of todays morning to cast her vote for 2024 Elections.


Sedibeng Ster’s Senior Journalist, Zacharia Nale visited the townships of Boipatong, Sharpeville, Vanderbijpark and Bophelong to capture some election moments with young and old coming in numbers to vote for their respective political parties.


Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Jijane said that it was a great feeling to cast her vote. She said this was the moment she has been waiting for.


“I woke up early in the morning because I wanted to be among the first people to be here to vote. I’m done, and now I’m going to sleep peacefully knowing that I voted.”
