VANDERBIJLPARK.- Motorists using the Barrage Road (R42) between Makro and Isak Steyl Stadium have been warned to be careful following a rapid increase in the number of hijackings and other violent crimes reported along the route.

Vanderbijlpark Sector 3 CPF said the warning was prompted by several violent crimes including murders and hijackings recently.

“We strongly advise against stopping along this road under any circumstances, as it has become a notably hazardous area.”
