MEYERTON.- Cert-SA Vaal crew responded to a medical emergency at a residential home in Henley on Klip, Meyerton.

Upon arrival, Cert-SA found a Basic Life Support medic had initiated CPR on the patient, an elderly man, in cardiac arrest.

“After several minutes of advanced cardiac life support, the patient had a return of spontaneous circulation and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.

Thanks to the swift response and valiant efforts to resuscitate the patient by the off-duty medic, our crew, and ER24, they could obtain the return of spontaneous circulation,” Cert-SA said in a statement.
