No ABC Motsepe League team in Vaal again

Sedibeng has been without  a representative in this league for quite sometime now.

SEDIBENG.- It’s official, Sedibeng will not be represented in the ABC Motsepe League in the new season.

This was after Young Pirates FC failed to gain promotion at the Gauteng Inter-Regional Play-offs which came to an end over the weekend. This promotional Play-offs took place at Marks Park Stadium in Johannesburg. Young Pirates FC was representing Sedibeng at this Gauteng Inter-Regional Play-offs after being crowned the overall winners of the Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League for 2023/2024 season.

Despite winning both of their games against Elspark United and Young Boys FC it was not enough for Pirates FC to gain promotion to ABC Motsepe League.

This is sad for Sedibeng football not to have a team in ABC Motsepe League once again.

Sedibeng has been without  a representative in this league for quite sometime now and Young Pirates FC was a last hope for local soccer fans. Sedibeng Ster Sport, has learned that many has lost hope of having a top flight football in this region anytime soon. There was much excitement when Young Pirates FC were crowned the Safa Sedibeng overall champions with many people thinking this would be a great opportunity for Sedibeng to have a club in the ABC Motsepe League.

However, it was not to be.

This means this will affect the number of the teams that will be relegated and promoted from and to Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League because as things stand, it is not yet clear how many teams will be relegated from Regional League.
