Three arrested for possession of essential infrastructure tampering tools
Police confiscated various tampering tools and an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

SASOLBURG – Three suspects were arrested and charged for possession of essential infrastructure tampering tools in Sasolburg on October 28.
According to the spokesperson of SAPS Sasolburg, Sergeant Josephine Rani, the Fezile Dabi Infrastructure Intervention Team, Sasolburg CPF, and private security companies were activated after three unknown males were spotted roaming the streets of Sasolburg.
“The teams swiftly rushed to the street and noticed three unknown males carrying a backpack, garden spades, a garden pick, a saw, and gloves. While searching the suspects the police found an unlicensed firearm and a knife in the possession of one of the suspects,” said Rani.
The unlicensed firearm and ammunition, together with the essential infrastructure tampering tools, were confiscated.
