Crime awareness campaign ahead of festive season

SEDIBENG.- The Vaal Marina SAPS together with S.E.S security services personnel and Siyabangena patrollers held an exhibition at Vaal Marina recently.

This is where the community was informed about the crimes that are likely to happen during the upcoming festive season. Motorists were also stopped and given pamphlets about safety tips. Police spokesperson Constable Tshilidzi de Huis said that motorists were also advised not to drink and drive during this festive season.

“They were also sensitised on how to keep their firearm safe. The sector commander also visited the shops around the area to look for counterfeit goods,” De Huis said.
