Chawing development money!

The poor development coaches will remain poor because of the abuse of power and money that could have benefited football development in this country.

SEDIBENG.- Much has been said and written about SAFA President Danny Jordaan’s fraud case that recently saw him appear before court, together with his co-accusers.

Someone said to Zakes’ Sports Corner “I saw this coming; it was just a matter of time.” SAFA Sedibeng sold our football to the highest bidder, to say the least. Initially, the SAFA Sedibeng Regional Executive Committee (REC) was divided in two, with whom to vote between Jordaan and Irvin Khoza. It was an ugly confrontation with some names mentioned in the background especially those against Jordaan.

This was unnecessary as it never benefited the development of our football in this region since 2013. Former administrators of SAFA Sedibeng must be blamed for the situation that we find ourselves in. People are chawing the money that could have been invested in the development of football throughout the country, especially to the poor of the poorest communities.

They must hang their heads in shame!

The poor development coaches will remain poor because of the abuse of power and money that could have benefited football development in this country. Zakes’ Sports Corner doesn’t even know if the SAFA region still gets grants from SAFA’s national office. Zakes’ Sports Corner highly doubt it!

SAFA Sedibeng under the leadership of Xolani Mtumtum has sold our football to the highest bidder. People were promised heaven and earth which is why they sold the development of our football in exchange for positions. Zakes’ Sports Corner remembers it like it happened yesterday when the so-called Mr Cool rubbished yours truly Zakes’ Sports Corner for defending the development of football in this region. The next thing Zakes’ Sports Corner was insulted all over for defending our football development.

Zakes’ Sports Corner will sit and watch how the movie unfolds. This is the darkest hour in South African football with the head of football accused of corruption.

Like Zakes’ Sports Corner always says, from here where are we going?

Those former SAFA Sedibeng must also account for selling our football to the highest bidder. They are responsible for what is happening in South African football at the moment. Some were promised positions at SAFA Head Quarters if Moketekete won the elections. Moketekete won the election, so what? Zakes’ Sport Corner will follow Jordaan’s case with key interest because it also affects the development of football here in Sedibeng.
