VANDERBIJLPARK – MooiVaal’s sales team had a ball when they bought all kinds of goodies for five shoe boxes as part of the Weeds and Seeds’ Santa Shoebox Project.
“We donated five boxes and Jenny van Heerden’s team from Biltong Bar, River Square donated five boxes,” Anette Mundell said.
The MooiVaal team decorated the ten parcels before taking them to Weeds and Seeds.
The boxes contained everything from hygiene products to sweets, snacks, stationary and an age-appropriate toy.
Each box also had a child’s name on it so they would know someone was thinking of them individually when the goodies were bought.
Weeds and Seeds is a non-profit community farm in Walkerville that aims to eradicate hunger by upskilling and empowering people in need.
The Santa Shoeboxes will help to make Christmas a little merrier for about 80 children.
