SEBOKENG. – Police have launched a murder investigation after Tankiso Godfrey Vumendlini (43) was fatally stabbed. The suspect, identified only as Lebohang, was arrested in Sebokeng on Saturday, December 14.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on December 8. It is said that Tankiso and his mother, Sanah Deniwe Vumendlini, visited Lebohang’s house to resolve a prior dispute. Upon their arrival, Tankiso reportedly began breaking the house windows. Despite his mother’s attempts to intervene, Tankiso insisted he sought revenge.

Lebohang is said to have then went inside, returned with a knife, and fatally stabbed Tankiso. He fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Sebokeng SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane confirmed the suspect’s arrest. “The dedicated Sebokeng detectives apprehended Lebohang on December 14. He is set to appear in court soon,” said Mokhachane.
