Top-flight football back in Vaal this weekend
“I’m looking forward to starting where I finished off last year because I believe I had a great year."
VANDERBIJLPARK.- Top-flight football will be back in Sedibeng when Sekhukhune United hosts Richards Bay in the DSTV Diski Challenge this weekend.
This much-anticipated fixture is scheduled to take place at Isak Steyl Stadium on Sunday.
Kickoff time is 10:00.
This will be the first DDC game of the year to be played in the Vaal and is a must-win game for United to improve their position on the log.
They are in position nine on the log with 15 points after the 13 games they played last year. Their opponent, Richard Bay, is in the seventh position on the log with 19 points. Richards Bay comes into this encounter with an upper-hand advantage looking at the two teams’ stats. Bay’s standing on the log says a lot about them.
But having said that, United will be playing in front of their supporters and they will use their home advantage. They will come into this game with guns blazing to collect maximum points.

They will want to start the year on a high note.
Tshediso Tshehla, who happens to be from the Vaal, is expected to carry United on his small shoulders like he did in previous games. He is a United playmaker, dictating terms in the middle of the park, mesmerising his markers.

Tshehla has been outstanding for United and he is one of the players that will soon be promoted to the United senior team. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Tshehla said he is looking forward to the game and starting the year on a high note.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he is eager to start where he finished off last year with his outstanding performance. “I’m looking forward to starting where I finished off last year because I believe I had a great year. My focus now is to help the team to finish at a respective position on the log.”
