Pizza delivery guy hijacked

When the delivery guy got off the motorbike, the suspects searched him, taking his cell phone and helmet.

EVATON.- A pizza delivery man survived a hijacking in Palm Springs’ Section K on Wednesday evening.

When the victim stopped next to Blue Tuck shop to confirm the delivery address, he was approached by an unknown man who held the motorbike’s clutch. Police spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi confirmed the incident at 19:15.

“Two other men came and pointed the victim with firearms. They were talking isiZulu.”

When the delivery guy got off the motorbike, the suspects searched him, taking his cell phone and helmet. According to Msibi, two of the suspects pushed the motorbike, and a few metres away, one climbed on the motorbike, turned on the ignition, and drove away.

The complainant sustained no injuries. Evaton SAPS is investigating a hijacking case.
