Kunene visits local schools

His visits will take him to Sehopotso Secondary School in Zone 12, Sebokeng, tomorrow, January 22.

SEDIBENG.-  The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) Deputy Chairperson of Committees, Thulani ‘Monty’ Kunene, has been visiting local (Sedibeng) schools as the GPL’s ‘School Readiness Campaign’ continues.

These visits are focused on assessing infrastructure, safety, learning materials, and educator support.

The GPL said that by engaging directly with school management teams, educators, and learners, this campaign aims to identify challenges requiring the government’s attention and promote accountability within the education system.

“The Sebokeng SAPS, through their Social Crime division have been on hand to make sure that the visits are with any incident, maintaining order and also giving the learners safety tips,” said police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane.

Kunene is also the current Sedibeng Regional African National Congress (ANC) Chairperson.

He has so far visited Qedilizwe, Mopholosi, Maxeke, Boitumelo, and Katleho-Impumelelo Secondary Schools. His visits will take him to Sehopotso Secondary School in Zone 12, Sebokeng, tomorrow, January 22.

In the coming days he will also visit Tokelo, Sizanani, Mohlodi, Lebohang, Sapphire and General Smuts High Schools amongst others.
