Sizanani honours the achievements of 2024 Matric Class

Sizanani Secondary’s principal, expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the Class of 2024.

SEBOKENG. – A partnership between different stakeholders led by Sebokeng SAPS assembled at the Sizanani Secondary School in Zone 13, Sebokeng, to honour the achievements of the school’s 2024 Matric class last Wednesday.

The different stakeholders, Social Crime Prevention, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Coordinators, detectives, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), Gauteng Traffic Wardens, the Department of Community Safety, Sedibeng Public Safety, the Department of Education, the local Ward Councillor, the School Governing Body (SGB), non-profit organizations, and the Initiation Schools Forum, celebrated the school’s remarkable 81.7% matric pass rate.

The School’s Management had invited the above stakeholders in honor of their Matric class of 2024, as they did well in academics with a pass rate of 81.7%.

Sizanani Secondary’s principal, expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the Class of 2024, highlighting a standout learner who achieved a level 7 in both Mathematics and Physical Science.

Acting Station Commander Colonel Stofina Mofokeng commended the teachers and learners for their dedication and resilience. “It takes a community to raise a child,” she remarked. She also introduced Detective Sergeant Nthabiseng Mashiya, the school’s newly assigned “Adopt a Cop,” pledging that the partnership will focus on preventing substance abuse and crime among learners.

As part of a broader safety initiative, Sebokeng SAPS visited all 44 schools within their precinct on the same day. CPF members conducted searches as learners entered school premises, with no substances or dangerous weapons found.

Sebokeng SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, emphasized the importance of community involvement in promoting safety. “We urge residents to participate in community patrols and report any criminal activities in their areas. Together, we can create a safer environment for our children,” she said.
