Door-to-door campaign to raise awareness in Mamello
“Through this campaign, we managed to assist three victims of domestic violence and crime against women and children."
SEDIBENG. – The Vaal Marina SAPS and their Siyabangena patrollers conducted a door-to-door awareness campaign in Mamello Informal Settlement, Vaal Marina on Monday.
The purpose of the campaign was to raise an awareness that violence against women is not accepted, and is preventable.

Police spokesperson Constable Tshilidzi de Huis said: “Through this campaign, we managed to assist three victims of domestic violence and crime against women and children, and I am happy about that because assisting a community gives me joy and satisfaction.”

Pamphlets on the following topics were distributed:

∙ Liquor control
