SHARPEVILLE. – A case of murder is being investigated by the Sharpeville police after an owner of a house in Tshepiso Phase 3, discovered a stabbed man in her house on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiwe Sango, said that the Sharpeville police were summoned to the scene of the murder and on arrival they  interviewed the witness who informed them that she was sitting in her living room watching TV when she heard a strange sound coming from the kitchen.

“She went to check what was happening, and she saw a man leaning on a chair in the kitchen with blood all over his body, she then phoned the police. Upon preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the man had sustained stab wounds on his chest,” Sango said, adding that the deceased was declared dead at the scene by EMS.

Upon further police investigation, it was discovered that the deceased resides a few houses from the witness’s place of residence.

“The family of the deceased was notified of the incident. The suspect was later arrested he will appear in the magistrate court soon.”
