MEYERTON. – The Michael Rua Intermediate Farm School extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Midvaal Local Municipality and the Kotulong Care Centre.

This came after the two showed generosity in donating school shoes to vulnerable school learners recently. Midvaal’s mayor Peter Teixeira and his entire team took time out of the office to make a difference in the learners’ lives in a special way. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, learner support agent Temoso Xhane said the mayor’s commitment to uplift the children’s education and well-being will not go unnoticed.

Xhane told Sedibeng Ster that she was overwhelmed by the commitment of the mayor and his team to spend the day with the learners despite their busy schedules. To date, Teixeira has been hands-on in improving the community of Midvaal. He has been a busy man since the beginning of the year and has been involved in several community projects, and this was the latest project he was part of.

“As a learner support agent, I’m truly grateful to witness the impact of such initiatives in our school. We want to thank you, Mr. Mayor, and your team for your continued efforts to change lives in our community. As a school we are grateful and this will go down as one of the best things to happen at our school. I have no doubt this will also motivate learners to do better in their studies in appreciation of your effort. We are blessed to be associated with the Midvaal Local Municipality,” she concluded.
